Export permit applications

MRI (Australia) Pty Ltd has been granted a permit to export 700 tonnes of nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride, lithium primary and lithium ion batteries to Kobar in the Republic of Korea (Government Notices Gazette, 18/9/13).

Permit applications that are waiting for a decision include:
– Bat Rec Battery Recyclers to export up to 2,500 tonnes of used lead acid batteries to Kookjea Metallic in the Republic of Korea (Government Notices Gazette 15/7/13)
– TES-AMM Australia Pty Ltd to export up to 120 tonnes of waste dry cell alkaline and zinc carbon batteries to Recupyl Espana in Spain (Government Notices Gazette 20/8/13)
– Powercell (Australia) Trading Pty Ltd to export up to 100 tonnes of nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride and lithium ion batteries to Nippon Recycle Center Corp in Japan (Government Notices Gazette 5/11/13)
– Sims Group Australia Holdings Ltd to import up to 500 tonnes of used lead acid batteries from New Caledonia to Hydromet in Unanderra, NSW (Government Notices Gazette 5/11/13).
