Lead acid batteries
Information about battery recycling services in your local area is available through Planet Ark’s RecyclingNearYou website. Most garages will recycle your old car battery when they replace it. Most transfer stations and waste management facilities also collect used car batteries – call your local council for details or check the RecyclingNearYou web site. The collection, storage and transport of used lead acid batteries (ULAB) is regulated by state and territory governments.
