Australian Battery Recycling Initiative
ABRI's vision is simple: to achieve battery stewardship in Australia

Batteryback Victoria

Batteryback is a pilot retail collection program for used household batteries. It collects all domestic alkaline (single use) and rechargeable batteries including Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Lithium Ion (Li-Ion). These batteries can be found in mobile phones, video cameras, digital cameras, hearing aids, cordless phones, power tools and many other products.

Batteryback collection bins are available at selected Bunnings stores, Hearlink, BetterBatt and Michaels Camera & Video. These companies are demonstrating leadership in battery stewardship by funding the collection and recycling of used batteries through their stores. Additional sponsorship from Canon Australia is supporting the recycling program at Michaels Camera & Video.

Alternative battery drop-off sites in Melbourne include local council facilities , and all Battery World and ALDI stores.
