A valuable event for gaining industry knowledge and networking with industry leaders
2 June 2025 With less than two months until one of the biggest events on the Australian battery industry’s annual calendar, we are thrilled to announce the final speaker lineup for the 2025 Battery Recycling and Manufacturing Summit.
Local and international experts will join keynote speaker NSW Environment Minister, the Hon Penny Sharpe, MLC, to deliver cutting-edge presentations on topics both current and future.
“Late last year, NSW became the first Australian state or territory government to commit to mandatory producer lifecycle responsibility legislation, and we look forward to hearing more about this from the Minister,” Association for the Battery Recycling Industry (ABRI) CEO Katharine Hole said.
“This year marks the third anniversary of this not-to-be missed event, and we are excited to welcome delegates from across the country and the globe.
“The Summit is timely as the battery value chain looks to strengthen the battery circular economy and support the clean energy transition, while creating a unique opportunity to network with like-minded peers.”
Presentations will cover a broad range of topics including:
the circular economy, net zero and stewardship, with perspectives from the automotive and dismantling sector, battery energy storage and mining sectors
government policy and regulation
expert updates on battery and recycling technology developments
skills development and job opportunities in the sector
This year our international focus is a case study on battery recycling in China – a leader in global battery recycling investment and regulatory policy to drive recycling.
“Last year, more than 120 attendees from across the battery value chain attended the Summit, and we received fantastic feedback on program content,” Ms Hole said.
“We know that the sector has the foundations to be a leader in clean energy technology and to support the low carbon energy transition underway. This is your chance to be part of the conversation.”
ABRI is pleased to have the backing of renewing event sponsors, including naming sponsor Ecocyle/Ecobatt, patron sponsor the Battery Stewardship Council and B-Cycle and technical specialist Infinitev.
The Summit is only possible thanks to our sponsors and this year we also welcome the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) and Storemasta.
This year’s Summit is being held at the Hilton Sydney on July 17.
